멜로우 펠로우라는 활동명을 쓰는 파울로는 올해 23살로 마닐라에서 태어난 로파이 팝 아티스트이다. 그는 2011년에 사운드 클라우드에서 익명으로 활동을 시작했다. [Self-titled], [Jazzie Robinson], [604 Diamond Street]라는 3개 앨범을 발매하고 심지어 Scout Magazine에서 인터뷰를 하고난 후에도 그는 여전히 베일에 싸여 있었다. 이 자기 성찰적인 음악가는 계속해서 무채색 느낌의 가사와 라디오와 어울리는 미감을 잘 섞은 음악을 만들어낸다. 그렇게 언더그라운드 씬에서 화제를 일으킨 멜로우 펠로우는 Clairo, , Floor Cry, Teenage Granny, Ruru 같은 굵직한 음악가와 콜라보레이션 작업을 한다.

라디오에서 흘러나오는 사랑 노래를 연상시키는 멜로우 펠로우의 음악은 밝게 일렁이는 기타와 햇살 같은 코러스는 그의 사랑스러운 황금빛 목소리와 결합한다. 마치 공원을 담아낸 듯한 팔레트 이미지들은 부드러운 왈츠를 추는 것처럼 청자의 가슴을 뛰게 만든다.

멜로우 펠로우는 2018년 8월 품 비푸릿과 함께 홍콩에서 공동 헤드라이너로 무대를 섰다. 또한 인도네시아 자카르타에서 열린 Lokatara Music Festival과 지난해 11월 필리핀 마닐라 All the Noise에서 공연했다.

Ralph Lawrence Kevin Reyes (Nickname: Polo) aka Mellow Fellow is a 23 year old self-taught, Manila born lo-fi pop artist who started out as an anonymous SoundCloud user in 2011. He’s remained mysterious throughout the release of his three albums (Self-titled, Jazzie Robinson and 604 Diamond Street) and even after being revealed in a Scout Magazine interview, the introspective musician continues to produce tunes that blend radio-friendly aesthetics with somber lyricism that has made him an underground sensation, enabling him to score collaborations with Clairo (How Was Your Day?), Floor Cry (New Year’s Eve), Teenage Granny (You’ll Be Alright) and Ruru (It’s Okay to Dream).

Mellow fellow's reminiscent radio-tune love songs serenades through bright, shimmering guitars and sunset choruses married to a lonely, golden voice. This park-brewed palette imagines a perfect, tender daydream spent waltzing and romancing heart. Mellow Fellow appeared in Hongkong as co-headliner with Phum Viphurit in August 2018. He also performed in the Lokatara Music Festival in Jakarta and All the Noise in Manila last November 2018.

80년대 한국 번화가 사운드를 노래하며 그 시대의 감성을 한껏 머금은 4인조 팀이다. 옛 추억의 희노애락을 모티브로하며 뉴웨이브 사이키델릭 사운드를 추구한다.

Band 88 is a four-piece band hailing from Busan, South Korea. They are well known for their emotionally charged songs with a sound influenced strongly from the 80’s Korean street sound. The band state that they pursue a psychedelic New Wave sound filled with the motif of old memories.
