Tour Exchange

하이징스 투어 익스체인지 프로젝트를 만든 발단은 많은 팀이 굉장히 큰 비용과 시간을 들여 대륙을 넘어 단 한두 개만의 공연을 하고 돌아오는 모습에서 심한 안타까움을 느낀 것이었습니다. 저희가 확신하는 한 가지는 아티스트가 정말로 새로운 시장에 인상을 남기길 원한다면 반드시 더 많은 공연을 위해 투자를 해야 한다는 것입니다. 덧붙여 홀로 투어하는 것보다 현지의 능력 있는 아티스트와의 파트너십을 맺는 것이 그 팀의 잠재력을 효과적으로 증대시키는 결과를 가져옵니다.

투어 익스체인지의 첫 번째는 우선 한국의 다른 국가에서 투어를 성실하게 벌일 준비가 되어있는 재능 있는 뮤지션을 찾는 일입니다. 이들은 한 국가에 가서 최소 5개 이상의 클럽 공연(가능하다면 몇개의 페스티벌 무대에 서고)을 벌여야 합니다. 프로젝트의 의미 있는 마무리를 위해 함께 투어 익스체인지를 가진 아티스트가 서로의 노래를 작업해 콜라보레이션 EP를 제작해 유통합니다.

이 프로젝트는 다른 국가에서 실질적으로 팬층을 구축할 수 있는 경험을 제공하고, 새로운 시장을 향한 강력한 추진요소가 될 것입니다. 덧붙여, 길 위를 돌아다니며 다른 도시의 클럽에서 연주하는 환경은 모든 밴드의 커리어에 귀중한 자산으로 남는 것은 의심할 여지가 없습니다.

Our tour exchange project was born from a frustration of seeing too many bands make very long and expenses trips to other continents just to play one or two shows before heading home again. We believe that if artists really want to make an impression in a new market, it is imperative to invest more time to play more shows. In addition, building partnerships with local talent really increases the potential reach for any up and coming touring band.

As part of any tour exchange we first pair up hardworking, driven and talented musicians from Korea with a like minded act from another country. We aim to have a minimum of 5 club shows (and if possible some festival appearances) on each leg of the tour exchange. To wrap up the project, we encourage / help acts to record a collaboration EP together featuring individual tracks and collaboration tracks between the two artists.

This project gives musicians a real opportunity to build a fanbase in different countries and thus, a great launch pad to get a foothold in a new market. Additionally, the experienced gained by being on the road and playing in different cities, clubs and environments is invaluable to any band that is serious about their careers.
